Insert page numbers

 

From the Insert page numbers dialog:

 

  1. Check the Include page numbers check box to enable page numbering.
     

  2. Use the Position drop-down list box to select whether to place the page numbers on the top or bottom of the page.
     

  3. Use the Alignment drop-down list box to select whether to place the page numbers on the left, right, or center of the page.
     

  4. Use the Format drop-down list box to select the type of numbering to use, e.g. standard numbers, Roman numerals etc.
     

  5. Use the Show number on first page check box to specify whether or not to include a page number on the first page of the document.
     

  6. Check Include total pages to set the numbering to include the total number of pages in the document. e.g. "1 of 12".
     

  7. The Preview image displays an example of your currently selected settings.
     

  8. Click OK.
