Exporting Microsoft Outlook 2000 data to a .CSV file

The instructions shown below are for Microsoft Outlook 2000, version SR-1. If the steps provided do not match the version you are using, please refer to the Help menu that is provided with Microsoft Outlook 2000.

To export Microsoft Outlook 200 data

  1. From the main menu in Microsoft Outlook, click File ยป Import and Export.

  2. Select Export to a file, then click Next.

  3. Select Comma Separated Values (DOS), then click Next.

  4. Select the Contacts folder, then click Next. If the contact information you are importing is in a folder other than the Contacts folder, select that folder now.

  5. Specify a file location and file name with a .CSV extension. For example, the file name may be similar to Outlook contacts.csv. Click OK.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Note:  On the next window, there's a Map Custom Fields button. Do not select this option, as changing the layout or mapping of the data file will cause the data to import into the wrong fields in Top Producer 7i.

  8. Click Finish.

  9. Refer to the import instructions for details on how to import this data into Top Producer 7i.
