The instructions shown below are for Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0. If the steps provided do not match the version you are using, please refer to the Help menu that is provided with Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0.

To export Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0 data

  1. From the main menu in Microsoft Outlook Express, click File, Export and then Address book.

  2. Select Text file (Comma Separated Values), then click the Export button.

  3. Specify a file name and file location with a .CSV extension. For example, the file name might be similar to Outlook contacts.csv. Click Save.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Note:  On the next window, there is an option to customize the fields you wish to export. Do not select or clear any options, as changing the layout or mapping of the data file will cause the data to import into the wrong fields in Top Producer 7i.

  6. Click Finish.

  7. Click OK and Close.

  8. Refer to the import instructions for details on how to import this data into Top Producer 7i.
