To open the Lead manager: From the Contacts menu, click Leads.
The Lead manager provides you with all of the information needed to ensure leads are followed up in a timely and effective manner. You can see all of the new leads you have received, whether they've been followed up (in the Status column), where they came from (in the Source column), and more. When you follow up, the lead's status automatically changes in the Lead manager, so you know what stage the lead is in.
To manage leads
Use the drop-down list to display leads of a certain status.
The Status column indicates what stage the lead is in. The lead statuses indicate the following:
New: Nothing has been done to follow up with the lead.
Followed up: An activity has been performed for the lead and "marked done".
Listing: A listing has been created for the lead.
Listing-closing: A closing has been created from the lead's existing listing record.
Closing: A closing has been created for the lead.
New - HMR Requested: A Web site lead has requested an Home Market Report (HMR). The HMR has not yet been created for the lead.
Followed up - HMR Requested: An HMR has been created and sent to the lead.
New up - CMA Requested: A lead that has already been sent an HMR, is now requesting a CMA.
Followed up - CMA Requested: A CMA has been created and sent to the lead.
The Source column displays where the lead was generated from.
Tip: Lead sources can help you determine where new business is coming from. For more information, see "Determining the most successful lead generation activities".
Click Check for new leads in case any new leads have been received since you opened the Lead manager.
If you are part of a team or partnership account, the Assigned to column displays who the lead is assigned to.
Click Close.
